When you reread a classic you do not see more in the book than you did before; you see more in you than was there before. ~Clifton Fadiman
unlibrary tour
Unlibrary is a system which allows you to catalogue and share your books. Here's a quick sample of what you can expect. Note that we don't require lots of personal details in order to sign up - just a username, password, and email address. So you can quickly sign up and have a look round yourself.

1) home page
This is a snapshot of your library, giving you an indication of everything that is going on.

2) adding books
This is where you build up your library. As you can see, it's a simple process - we do the hard work for you!
Step 1: Search for your book

Step 2: Pick the book you are trying to find, and click 'add book to library'

Step 3: Add a rating, and any tags you want. Done!

3) your bookshelf
Browse or search through all the books in your collection

4) join communities
Joining communities enables you to share books with all the other members of those communities. If you can't find one that suits you, it's easy to create your own. Also, you have a private, invite-only 'friends' community you can use.

5) share books
Browse or search the books belonging to members of your communities. Once click sends a request off to the owner of that book, who can then accept or decline it.
You can also directly lend a book to someone else (for instance, if they have come to your house and borrowed it, and you want unlibrary to keep track of where it is for you).

Step 1: Find the book you want to borrow, and click 'request book'

Step 2: The owner sees your request, and can accept or decline it

Step 3: You'll see the results of your requests, and you and the lender can communicate to arrange transfer of the book

5) and more...
Ok...that's a quick preview of what's in store...you can also, of course, keep track of where all your books are, when they are due back, what books you are borrowing yourself, and more...

Sign up now and give it a go. It's easy and free, and we'd love to have you!
